The Boy

Recently I've got to hang out with Amir after a long time.
He suddenly call me up, out of nowhere, begging me to be free and go out for a lunch with him. So, even though it is Saturday, and I've just comeback from school feeling exhausted from this whole Road-Run event thing, I've agreed to meet him.

We went for a lunch and decided to go watch a movie. Life's is too busy, and it's hard to find a find comfortable enough to go to a movie with, that isn't you co-worker. Especially if you're single, right?
Then, out of nowhere, we decided to watch the film "The Boy".
Now, usually, I will never ever watch a horror movie in the cinema. I've hardly watch it at home. I'm a coward, easily scared by ghost, and will keep having flashback of the horror scene again and again for like, FOREVER.
But that day, I suddenly feel adventurous (haha!) and suggest that we watch a horror movie. I said I'm really a sissy when it comes to horror movies, but what the hell, let's watch one. Amir agreed, but told me that he is also easily scared and hardly watch one.

So, the movie started, and I was watching, thinking that 'hey, this wasn't so bad, it's not actually that scary. I should like keep calm and try to control it when those scary scenes come'.

And when I look beside me, this guy that I'm with, he was, almost lost in his shirt. Hahahaha. It was sooo funny and cute at the same time, like when we were little and afraid of something, we retreat into our shirt, hands and head, hoping that that makes us invincible, and the scary thing that we were afraid of, would not notice us.

I practically laugh in his face, at him. He scream louder than me, on those scary-slash-surprising scene. He actually kicked the chair in front of him! And I keep laughing and saying how fun it is to watch a scary movie with someone who is actually more afraid than me.

And what's making it really good, is that, Amir is totally fine with me laughing at him. He even admit it with ease, that yeah, he is afraid of those things. And I think it makes him more good and perfect as he is. Hey, it takes a lot of confidence to admit your flaw. And admitting it means you own it.

So I had a blast. It is so fun and refreshing feeling of watching horror movie without having to pretend to be brave and reminding yourself not to act scared when you are. Now, I totally have a perfect buddy to ask to watch a horror movie with.

Juliet

I didn't quite remember how the two of us become friends. It's start back in primary school.
She was someone that was a friend with my twin brother. Somehow, one day, we just decide to hang out at her house and it became our ritual. Our 'girls' time.

Her name is not actually Juliet. It's Syafiqah. But that's the nick that she's been using for years and I like it, so I'm calling her that. Not in real life though, I call her real name, coz that would be too weird and icky. Haha.

Our days would be like this. I went to her house with my bicycle. We hang out at her house, watch sonething on Astro ( back then NOT everyone has Cable tv, I certainly didn't) then went out on our bike to go to the CC for few hours.

Now what is a CC? It's Cyber Cafe! I didn't know if kids this days still know the terms or even use it. Back then internet is not as accessible as these days. We would be there for few hours, chatting on Yahoo (GOD, I Know!LOL), we google our favourite band, and who know what!. Thinking back, it;s a wonder that we were able to spend a few hours surfing internet, given that the fee is RM2 per hour, and I only get RM2 per day for school allowance. It;s mostly on charity of this one good bro who's working at the cc to monitor the usage, and keep giving us extra hours. Yup, back then they still didn;t use the software where your computer automaticly shut down when your time is up.

After our little 'surfing' at the CC, both of us would cycle to the park, buy 'goreng pisang', or ' keropok lekor' and would talks forever about what we just find out or dicover on the internet. We talk about out 'chat's in the chatroom.
This would all sound soo funny and maybe a bit alien to today's kids.

Social media life used to be so fun and about connecting with people. At least it did become the reason that start our life-long friendship. 15 years later, now at 27, we are still friends.

There are many interesting episode that I shared with Juliet. I just need time to remember it. God! I'm OLD!

Harry Potter

Saw a post on Facebook yesterday about the 8th Harry Potter books. Rejoice! yet feels ummm.. like OLD. Damn, even Harry got kids now.
I'm the same, childish as ever. Sad. Pftt

But, seeing that post makes me remember of the last movie of Harry Potter that I saw with my  'Order' gang.  Ya yaa, we were that obsessed with Potter, and we called ourselves Order of The Pheonix. It consist of Wan, Amir, Amri and myself.
At first I was kinda hoping Jimah would join the gang, but naah, I'm the only girl odd enough to do this kind of thing. Haha

Amir called and want us to watch the Deathly Hallow together. He took time out of his busy life as intern to watch a movie. So even though Wan and I have watched it together before, we agreed, for last time sake. My heart ache actually. It the end of our chilhood pack,.
Amir bought the ticket. He told us he managed to get only two seat together and one of us have to sit a bit far. Wan and I was baffled. But it was fun. We keep arguing the whole time whose going to seat far, who we prefer more to seat together.

When we get into the cinema, the seat that supposed to be near each other is actually not in the same row! It was not seating beside each other, but below/ up a row but on the same line (maybe? dont know how to describe it lol). Amir decided that he is going to take the one seat that supposed to be separated because it's a better seat and it is the first time watching for him, while Wan and me had watched it before.

Wan and I found the situation so funny and ridiculous that we keep giggling and shaking our heads in disbelief through out the movie. We watched together, but alone, on our own. No whispering and sharing giggle and thought while watching the movie. It's like watching it alone.

We actually teased and ridiculed Amir after that. We still brought it up if we meet up until today. 'Never trust Amir to bought movie tickets' is the motto. He even had trauma because of the teasing and refused to buy ticket alone or without us if we want to watch a movie together.

It sure make it as top 10 memory of The Order. It so did. Haha

.
I was re-watching old episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S and suddenly missing my friends a lot.
So much to remember yet so much that I had forgot.

So this site is going to be a journal. Of memories and episodes that I treasure with my friends.
It's been years since  I last write an entry.
I hope I'll stick with this idea and make it happen.
